What is Incoloy 840 Alloy?
Incoloy 840 (S33400) alloy is a titanium and aluminum austenitic stainless steel containing enough chromium to form and maintain a sufficient scale of chromium oxide, so that it is protected under high-temperature conditions, than the traditional chrome-nickel stainless steel, such as 304 stainless steel, high temperature; higher nickel content, compared to the standard 18-8 type stainless steel has better oxidation resistance, its oxidation resistance no less inferior to the use of temperatures up to 1900 degrees (1038 ℃) higher grade alloy.
Therefore, the 840 (S33400) alloy strip is ideal for the manufacture of electric heat pipes, automotive emission control systems and other high-temperature resistant products.
Incoloy 840 has the characteristics of high mechanical strength, high thermal efficiency, safety and reliability, easy installation and long service life.
It is widely used in various water tanks, oil tanks, acid and alkali tanks, fusible metal melting furnaces, air heating furnaces, drying furnaces, and drying ovens.
The specific forms are industrial accessories such as hot runner heating coils, heating rods, heating tubes, thermocouples, temperature control boxes, temperature control accessories and connectors.
