The combination of nickel and chromium ensures resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and carburization, while the molybdenum content enhances fatigue strength and protects against stress, pitting, and crevice corrosion, even in the presence of chloride ions.
The high strength of Inconel 625 is attributed to the addition of molybdenum and niobium to its nickel-chromium matrix. These hex bolts also exhibit exceptional resistance to a variety of highly corrosive environments, including sulfuric, hydrochloric, and phosphoric acids.
