MONEL® alloy K-500 (UNS N05500 / W.Nr. 2.4375) is a nickel-copper alloy which combines the excellent corrosion resistance of MONEL alloy 400 with the added advantages of greater strength and hardness. The increased properties are obtained by adding aluminum and titanium to the nickel-copper base.
Monel K-500 hot-rolled plates are typically nickel alloy plates with a thickness ranging from 3mm to 5mm. These plates retain the exceptional corrosion resistance, high-temperature tolerance, and fatigue resistance of Monel K-500.
In terms of production, Monel K-500 plates can either be flattened and cut from coils or directly hot-rolled from Monel K-500 billets. Compared to Monel K-500 sheets, Monel K-500 plates possess a whiter finish.
